Can you find boats in government auctions?
Let's start from the bottom line: boat auctions are rare. And to be even more precise on the subject: usually car auctions offer other vehicles
else that private autos; things like RV, Buses and quite obviously boats (sailboats and yachts included).
Goverment auctions are basically an auction which consists of vehicles that have been seized by the goverment and are now offered in sale for a much
lower value than the normal retail price. Why are the cars in the auto gov auctions sell for that low amount of money?
Because the storages aren't prepared to handle more than a certain amount of cars, and people keep comitting crimes or not paying bills,
and for having some of their properties seized. There are even confiscated houses auctions around the states.
Among the seized properties there could be boats. So many households have a boat nowadays, that it is almost inevitable, that some of the crooks
who suffered the harsh hand of the local sheriff, a federal authority, the IRS or something of the like... actually own boats.
What are the precentages of you finding a unique boat, a very luxorious boat or anything similar?
First off I'd like to open and say that there's always a chance. There's a chance you'll go to one auction and end up finding your long lost
twin, your mother's jewlery box which dissappeared some dozens of years ago, or that you'll be the only bidder for a no-reserve-price Porche and take
it home for 300 dollars. But it's not likely. Just like it's not likely that you attend to a random auction and find an exact model you were looking
for.
Boats aren't as common as cars, so a special model or maker would be hard to find unless it's a top selling brand.
What if you choose to buy a boat from someone else (not a goverment boat auction)
IF you have chosen to go down that route, that I simply do not reccomend, you should use sites like online reverse trace that can help you find
cruicial details about the person whom you are supposed to make a deal with. If the person had something of a criminal nature in his past, would you
really venutre in buying a car off of this person? What if he is pulling a trick that he has been arrested for before? Just to be safe, use public
record lookup tools.
